I’m Simon Brady, CFP®, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
My passion is to build financial stability for younger professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s who want to ensure that they are financially organized, tax-optimized, saving enough money in an efficient way for retirement, that their kids have a college fund, they are prepared for emergencies and the stuff life will throw at them and that everything else in between is taken care of.
What I really love to do, is sit down with clients, listen to them explain their financial goals, concerns and dreams, and figure out a targeted way to help them achieve financial security and create wealth using long term, diversified strategies.
Education and experience:
I was born and grew up in London, England. I went to university in both Britain and France, studying business and finance. I moved to New York as a currency trader when my UK employer transferred me to their Wall Street office. I moved from foreign exchange to equity derivative trading, before transitioning to personal financial planning and earning my CFP® designation. I worked as a financial advisor at the United Nations headquarters in New York. I am the founder and principal of my own NYC-based Registered Investment Advisor firm, Anglia Advisors.
I am a former member of the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of New York where I served as Public Awareness Director and Director of Strategic Alliances. I speak widely on personal finance at financial conferences, universities, libraries, corporations and workshops in the New York area, as well as frequently publishing articles and being quoted on personal finance topics in national, local and specialist media.
I have contributed articles and featured in videos on various financial planning topics on numerous media outlets, including Business Insider, Investopedia, CNBC, Asset TV, ConnectRoot, Savvy Parents and more.
I have given classes on financial planning to students at West Texas A&M University, Texas A&M, State University of New York, Purchase and Western New England University School of Law. I also have my own podcast: Angles.
